Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, a large acute trust in England, embarked on a major 10-year digital transformation strategy to improve clinical pathways and patient care. Altera Digital Health's highly configurable Sunrise solution was implemented across the trust's inpatient, paediatric, and emergency services. This included deploying specialized modules for electronic prescribing (ePMA), point-of-care testing, and a virtual fracture clinic. The solution directly led to streamlined workflows, a significant reduction in administrative burdens, and improved patient safety by eradicating transcription errors. These transformative results contributed to the trust being ranked fifth in the country for overall performance in patient care.
