Grampians Rural Health Alliance (GRHA) faced the challenge of disparate clinical systems limiting access to patient data across its 40 sites and 11 member health services. This hindered the delivery of a seamless continuum of care. To advance its digital transformation, GRHA partnered with vendor Altera Digital Health to implement a unified electronic medical record using the BOSSnet solution.

Altera Digital Health's BOSSnet solution provided a single, shared patient record database for the entire alliance. The implementation, which required extensive collaboration on governance and policies, has given clinicians a unified view of patient medical records and established robust electronic mechanisms for creating and sharing discharge summaries. This digital transformation is moving the region towards paperless documentation and enabling more patient-centered care.
