XLDyn - Customer Case Study

XLDyn needed to balance quality, cost and time-to-market across multiple subsystem measures of effectiveness (MoEs) and quickly identify which design parameters mattered most. To address this, XLDyn worked with Altair, using Altair’s XLSE Tools to define subsystem MoEs, select parameters for study, and execute parametric and factorial (DoE) analyses.

Altair’s solution let XLDyn run parametric studies and DoE across 13 subsystem MoEs, set MoE weights and run levels, and review simulated runs. The results were actionable and measurable: main effects showed TrackWDT (track width) as the dominant influence (0.568027) and EngTransMass second (0.215911), and the best configuration reduced total deviation to 0.278604 (Run 5). By using Altair’s tools, XLDyn identified the key drivers to focus design changes, speeding trade-off decisions and reducing development iterations.
