Sundog Eyewear, a 30-year eyewear company focused on high-performance styling and protection, needed to move from a traditional 2D sketch-based workflow to a modern 3D modeling approach that captured production-level detail and ran on Apple systems. To make that jump quickly and without heavy CAD training, Sundog adopted Altair’s solidThinking Evolve as their primary design tool.

Using Altair’s solidThinking Evolve, Sundog designers gained precise surface control (including the Stretch Tool and ConstructionTree), fast photorealistic rendering, and the ability to export detailed geometry to manufacturers.
