Subros Leverages Altair HyperWorks® to Build Optimized Product Designs While Reducing 60% Simulation Time and 40% Prototyping Costs

Subros, India’s leading manufacturer of automotive thermal products, needed faster, more reliable simulation to meet tight vehicle launch timelines and reduce design errors. After finding their prior CAE tools slow and error-prone, Subros partnered with Altair and adopted the Altair HyperWorks suite — including HyperMesh, RADIOSS and OptiStruct — to standardize and accelerate simulation-driven development.

Altair implemented workflow improvements (such as using RBE2 constraints and in‑built solvers) and full HyperWorks-based pre/post-processing and optimization, enabling Subros to cut simulation and preprocessing time by more than 60% and reduce prototyping costs by about 40%. The Altair solution also delivered measurable benefits on projects — up to ~59% assembly weight reduction, greatly improved validation accuracy, and shorter development cycles.
