SS Global LLC, an IoT integration and supply-chain consultancy, needed a real-time, city-wide Air Quality Index (AQI) monitoring capability that could ingest high-velocity sensor streams (temperature, humidity, particulate matter, CO2, CH4, N2O, O3), replay historical data at real-time or faster speeds, and automatically flag anomalies that could indicate emerging public-health or operational risks. They partnered with Altair to address these challenges and deploy a production-grade analytics solution.

Altair, working with Oracle, implemented Altair Panopticon for native connectivity, real-time dashboards and visualization, and used Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with the OCI Anomaly Detection Service to process MQTT-ingested sensor streams, detect anomalies, and generate alerts. The solution gave SS Global LLC scalable, congestion-free real-time visualization, configurable anomaly alerts, and operational improvements—enabling faster route changes for municipal buses, reduced exposure to poor air quality for drivers and passengers, and better monitoring of driver behavior and fleet performance.
