SEGULA Technologies optimizes its enterprise IT investment using Altair’s software asset optimization solution

SEGULA Technologies, an international engineering consultancy that heavily relies on CAE and CAD tools, faced the challenge of managing a very large and diverse pool of commercial software licenses and controlling rising software costs. To replace manual scripts and Excel-based tracking, SEGULA Technologies implemented Altair’s Software Asset Optimization (SAO) solution to monitor license usage across business units and vendors.

Altair deployed SAO (powered by HiQube) with agents collecting license-server data, interactive dashboards, alerts, and 40+ usage and trend reports to surface denials, license saturation, unused features, and session issues. The Altair solution gave SEGULA Technologies centralized, real-time visibility for capacity planning and right-sizing, enabled faster, data-driven renewal and acquisition decisions, reduced inefficient usage (double/unclosed sessions), improved budget planning and delivered potential software cost savings.
