F.tech R & D North America, the Troy, OH research arm of Tier‑1 automotive supplier F.tech, relies on Altair’s HyperWorks suite—notably HyperView—for CAE-driven virtual validation. Their CAE team faced a time‑consuming, manual process to export images, animations and tables from HyperView into reports and presentations, so they engaged Altair to find a way to automate and streamline report generation.

Altair (via Altair ProductDesign) implemented and customized the Automated Reporting Director (ARD) inside HyperView to detect result maxima, choose optimal views, generate notes/legends, and export images, data tables and GIFs directly to PowerPoint, with training for F.tech engineers. The ARD produced reports in moments versus about 4 hours manually on a project with 20+ load cases and 50+ design iterations, standardized outputs and delivered up to an 80% reduction in report generation time.
