Mubea Relies on HyperWorks Unlimited for Automotive Component Design and Production

Mubea, a global leader in tailor-rolled blanks for automotive OEMs, faced increasing demands to speed up design optimization and lightweighting while scaling CAE usage. The company had long worked with Altair and relied on the HyperWorks suite—notably the RADIOSS structural solver—but needed more HPC capacity, flexible licensing and simpler job management to support more users and larger simulation workloads.

Altair provided the HyperWorks Unlimited Physical Appliance (including PBS Works and Compute Manager), a turnkey HPC private-cloud appliance giving unlimited access to HyperWorks applications. The solution enabled Mubea to run more concurrent simulations, shortened turnaround (automated pre/post tasks delivered an 80% time reduction), supported about ten engineers immediately (system up and running one day after uncrating), reduced maintenance and costs, and accelerated delivery of mature designs.
