A Altair Case Study
M.TEC Engineering, based in Herzogenrath/Aachen, Germany, is an engineering service provider specializing in plastics technology, component simulation and product development across automotive, medical, consumer and other industries. To meet increasingly diverse and specialized customer requests while scaling its business, M.TEC relied on Altair’s HyperWorks suite and the Altair Partner Alliance (APA) to give engineers flexible access to a broad set of CAE tools.
Using Altair’s HyperWorks licensing and APA access to tools such as HyperMesh, OptiStruct, Moldex3D, Digimat and HyperView, M.TEC reproduced a failure in an expansion oil tank by mapping fiber orientation, optimized the geometry with OptiStruct and validated the redesign through combined moldflow and FE analyses. Altair’s on-demand, cost‑efficient tool access enabled faster, more accurate engineering work, helped grow M.TEC’s CAE business and workforce, and delivered measurable business growth and new customer wins.
