Managing Composites Uses Altair Tools to Design, Develop, and Drive Innovation

Managing Composites, a turnkey composite engineering and CAE specialist, needed high-performance computing and advanced simulation tools to accelerate materials characterization and enable innovative uses of composites. To meet that challenge they turned to Altair, adopting the Altair Unlimited virtual HPC appliance and Altair’s CAE toolset to support everything from FEA and multiscale material modeling to process simulation.

Altair delivered a cloud-based HPC solution (powered by Altair HPCWorks) and access to the Altair HyperWorks suite (HyperMesh, OptiStruct, Radioss), Multiscale Designer, SimSolid, Inspire and more, enabling real-time monitoring, automated workflows, and easy scaling. As a result, Managing Composites now identifies design improvements much faster, predicts structural performance with high accuracy, reduces prototyping time and cost, and produces lighter, more efficient components—letting the team “go from zero to full speed in a matter of seconds” while increasing productivity without added licensing penalties.
