Inespasa Accelerates Design of Aero Tooling Structures Using Altair Simsolid®

Inespasa, an engineering firm in Spain specializing in aerospace and automotive turnkey projects, faced tight timeframes and limited budgets for developing complex aerostructure tooling while meeting strict regulatory standards. To avoid costly, time-consuming prototype testing and repetitive finite-element workflows, Inespasa turned to Altair, adopting Altair SimSolid® (alongside Altair Inspire™ and Altair MotionSolve®) to accelerate virtual evaluation of designs.

Altair implemented rapid structural simulation with SimSolid, topology optimization with Inspire, and system-level analysis with MotionSolve, enabling Inespasa to quickly iterate designs, identify stress-critical paths, and achieve optimal weight–stiffness ratios. The Altair solution reduced development time by avoiding late design modifications, made components manufacturable with conventional chip‑removal techniques, expanded tool usage through flexible Altair licensing, and significantly increased the company’s ROI.
