Case Study: Engineering services provider Beta Epsilon accelerates development and cuts software costs with Altair HyperWorks

A Altair Case Study

Preview of the Beta Epsilon Case Study

HyperWorks provides flexibility and agility to development processes of Engineering Services Provider Beta Epsilon

Beta Epsilon is a small multidisciplinary engineering and R&D firm that designs racing cars and lightweight composite structures for motorsports and mechanical engineering customers. Facing tight development schedules and the need to optimize weight, performance and reliability across meshing, FEA, crash simulation and CFD tasks, Beta Epsilon needed flexible, cost‑efficient access to a broad set of CAE tools—so they turned to Altair and the HyperWorks suite (including HyperMesh, OptiStruct, HyperCrash, RADIOSS, AcuSolve, HyperView and Virtual Wind Tunnel).

Altair delivered HyperWorks via a unit‑based, annual leasing license that lets Beta Epsilon’s 4–5 engineer team use any tool in the suite on demand. The Altair solution accelerated development, cut software expenses, improved product quality and allowed the company to expand its service offering (meshing, optimization, structural and CFD analysis, crash simulation and post‑processing) while benefiting from responsive technical support.
