Hussmann India Achieves Greater Simulation Accuracy with Altair AcuSolve™

Hussmann (Hussmann India) is a manufacturer of refrigerated display cases and tailored food‑safety solutions that needed to prevent temperature rise from infiltration, meet ASHRAE temperature standards, and reduce the cost and time of experimental testing to compress its product development cycle. To address these challenges they engaged Altair, leveraging the Altair HyperWorks suite and specifically Altair AcuSolve for CFD thermal analysis.

Altair implemented CFD thermal simulations with Altair AcuSolve to model airflow, heat transfer and nodal temperature points corresponding to lab sensors; the simulations correlated well with experimental results and met ASHRAE standards. As a result, Altair’s solution allowed Hussmann to greatly reduce experimental testing and cost, shorten product development time by 20–30%, and deploy AcuSolve across its product lines for faster, more robust refrigeration designs.
