Harita Seating Standardizes on Altair Suite of HyperWorks for all CAE Applications

Harita Seating Systems, a leading Indian manufacturer of automotive seating and part of the TVS group, needed to standardize its CAE toolset to support design, homologation, crash analysis and regulatory testing while improving simulation/test correlation, reducing lead times and cutting iterative rework. To address this, Harita selected Altair and standardized on the Altair HyperWorks suite (including HyperMesh, RADIOSS, HyperView/HyperGraph, HyperCrash, HyperForm and MotionSolve) for its CAE applications.

Altair implemented a HyperWorks-based workflow across Harita’s modeling, explicit dynamics and forming simulations, enabling upfront nonlinear analysis and virtual validation that cut FE modeling cycle times by 30% (HyperMesh) and reduced solver time by about 20% using Altair’s licensing and additional cores. The solution shortened lead times, reduced repetitive physical tests, improved component and tooling quality, and improved simulation/test correlation (for example, applied torso/lap belt loads of 4,415 N / 5,621 N achieved 4,607.6 N / 5,601 N in analysis). Altair’s tools also opened the way for future optimization work at Harita.
