EVR Motors Develops New, Simulation-aided E-motor Topology

EVR Motors, an Israeli developer of cost‑effective radial flux permanent magnet electric machines, created a wholly new Trapezoid Stator RFPM topology to deliver higher power and torque density at lower cost. Because this topology departs from conventional designs, EVR needed robust multiphysics and optimization tools; they turned to Altair and its e‑motor toolset (Altair FluxMotor, Altair Flux, Altair SimLab and Altair HyperMesh) to accurately simulate and validate the novel design before building hardware.

Using Altair’s simulation suite, EVR iterated and validated the TS‑RFPM motor design virtually, achieving about 90% simulation accuracy, cutting prototype counts by over 50%, and producing a motor up to 50% lighter and roughly half the size of some leading e‑motors — delivering faster development, lower costs, and a more competitive e‑mobility solution thanks to Altair’s tools.
