Evenflo - Customer Case Study

Evenflo, a long-established maker of infant and juvenile products, faced a challenge to redesign a car-seat release handle that improved styling and ease of use while maintaining safety and controlling costs. After hearing about solidThinking Inspire, Evenflo engaged Altair to explore Inspire’s concept-generation tools as part of the early design process.

Altair’s solidThinking Inspire was used to generate topology-driven concepts from a defined package space and equivalent static loads, helping Evenflo visualize load paths and align engineering and industrial design. The chosen concept was matured in Pro‑E, rapid‑prototyped and tested, producing a part that is 25% lighter and more cost‑effective (initial results indicated up to 30% mass reduction) without compromising safety, while speeding co‑development and integrating easily into existing workflows.
