Dimensions Furniture, Inc., an Indiana-based furniture designer and manufacturer serving internet and catalog retailers, needed to produce a large variety of low-volume models quickly to meet buyer demand. To accelerate design, iteration, and presentation, Dimensions adopted Altair’s solidThinking Evolve (Evolve) as its primary industrial design and rendering tool.

Altair’s Evolve was integrated into Dimensions’ workflow to create photorealistic renders, enable fast on-the-fly edits via its Construction Tree history, and allow direct 3D handoff to manufacturing. As a result, Dimensions Furniture, Inc. has designed over 100 models in Evolve, produces rendered samples in days (faster than competitors), can implement buyer changes quickly, and streamlines the path from concept to production.
