Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad, a multi‑billion‑dollar supplier of services and power generation systems to the oil and gas industry, needed a predictive maintenance solution to avoid costly unplanned turbine failures on offshore rigs. The company sought on‑demand visibility into turbine performance, anomaly detection in sensor data, and optimized maintenance scheduling, and set targets to boost microturbine output by 25%, reduce downtime by 70%, and cut maintenance expenses by 25%. To address this, Serba Dinamik engaged Altair and adopted Altair® Knowledge Studio® and Altair® Panopticon™ as core components of a Smart Predictive Maintenance Data System (SPMDS).

Altair worked with Serba Dinamik, hardware partners and ORS Technologies to train unsupervised ML models on historical and live sensor data and to build Panopticon dashboards for real‑time monitoring; after a six‑month test the Altair‑powered SPMDS was deployed in the field.
