Leading Aerospace Manufacturing Industry needed to reduce component and structural weight, accelerate adoption of composite materials, and modernize structural modelling and automated design processes — all while meeting strict safety and performance requirements. To meet these challenges they deployed Altair’s HyperWorks CAE suite (including HyperMesh, HyperView, OptiStruct and related modules) for end-to-end simulation from concept through product lifecycle.

Altair implemented a solution using HyperMesh for fast ply-based composite modelling, HyperView for layer-based post‑processing and reporting, OptiStruct for multi-load topology and size optimization, plus RADIOSS, MotionSolve and HyperStudy (and partner tools via the Altair Partner Alliance). The Altair-driven workflow produced significant time savings in meshing and reporting, substantial weight reductions through optimized ply and topology designs, and faster, more rigorous design validation and certification processes.
