The goal was to identify design errors quickly and improve confidence in the board before fabrication.

Altair’s system analyzed the schematic and datasheets, then flagged six critical errors, including incorrect capacitor values, a missing pull-up resistor, and an operating temperature mismatch. The findings helped babyark fix the design issues, and the case study notes that CADY’s inspection accuracy was about 80% on average, with over 65% of inspected boards containing at least one finding marked “Need to Fix.”
