ATCx Energy, operating in the oil & gas sector, needed to speed up conceptual design, reduce material and weight, and improve manufacturability while keeping performance and schedule on track. They partnered with Altair and used its Inspire (solidThinking Inspire) CAE-driven concept design software to introduce simulation early in the design process and drive more informed concept exploration.

Altair implemented Inspire to define package space and load cases, generate optimized concept shapes, validate proposals, and export results back into CAD. The Altair solution produced a new design that was 25% lighter, delivering clear weight and material cost savings, faster concept iterations, and better insight into part/assembly performance and manufacturability.
