Altair SmartCore™ Improves Energy Performance and Profitability of UNATEC

Unatec, a Spanish energy solutions firm with more than 10 years’ experience, needed to control costs and improve production forecasting for small- and medium-sized renewable generators to protect profitability and avoid penalties. To build its Energy Smart Generation offering for solar and wind plants, Unatec partnered with Altair and relied on the Altair SmartCore platform as the core technology.

Altair implemented Altair SmartCore as a cloud solution (energy prediction, operations monitoring, field actuations, smart metering and real‑time KPIs), enabling Unatec to launch the product in six months and save significant development costs. The Altair SmartCore deployment increased forecast accuracy, reduced penalty fees, helped prevent outages, optimized maintenance scheduling and improved intervention task management.
