Addressing Design Development Challenges Through Simulation Driven Platform

Endurance Technologies, one of India’s leading automotive component manufacturers, needed to shorten product development time, achieve “first-time-right” designs and offer higher-value technology while working within tight budgets and limited specialist staff. To build in‑house multi‑physics simulation capability and meet OEM expectations, Endurance partnered with Altair and adopted the Altair HyperWorks platform (including HyperMesh, OptiStruct, RADIOSS, MotionSolve, AcuSolve, HyperStudy and HyperView) to standardize CAE across its R&D centers.

Altair, together with partner DesignTech, helped implement HyperWorks solvers, establish high‑fidelity FE modeling and create an automated Virtual Verification Process. The collaboration—over a four‑year rollout—enabled validated simulation workflows (telescopic suspension validation, strength/vibration, clutch studies), delivered reliable test correlations, reduced simulation lead times through automation and improved results consistency. Altair HyperWorks is now integral to Endurance Technologies’ NPD process and is driving expansion into optimization and full‑vehicle design.
