A Smarter Approach to Vehicle Design with System-Level Modeling

CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology) needed to accelerate vehicle development by validating complex software controllers and hardware subsystems earlier in the design cycle using system-level modeling. They evaluated MapleSim as the modeling and simulation tool and engaged Altair to support deployment and team training so models could run efficiently in real-time for in-the-loop testing.

Altair provided customized training and integration support, helping CEVT generate optimized, royalty-free code and export models as FMUs for use in their CarMaker-based simulation platform. As a result, CEVT shortened the time to proficiency with the new toolchain, enabled fast design iterations and real-time in-the-loop testing, and moved more validation earlier in the development process.
