Edwards Air Force Base’s 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) is responsible for training and readiness across a large, complex flight test operation. The Training Division needed to compile qualification and training records from seven disparate databases and multiple report formats, a process that required printing, manual data extraction and re-keying, prevented easy long-term comparisons, and consumed many labor hours.

By deploying Datawatch Monarch, the team automated extraction and joining of data from PDFs, Excel, Access, ODBC and other formats into reusable data models. Reports that once took hours now run in about 30 seconds, enabling quick trend analysis and sorting by troop, aircraft or unit, improving visibility for the Base Commander and helping keep personnel and aircraft mission-ready.
