The Marbridge Foundation, a nonprofit residential community serving nearly 250 developmentally disabled adults, faced a compliance challenge when Affordable Care Act rules required detailed payroll reporting for more than 300 employees. Their payroll system could only produce partial outputs in PDF form, and manually rekeying years of records would have been costly, time-consuming and error-prone.
Using an Altair customized template for automated data preparation, Marbridge extracted and cleaned historic and current payroll data locked in PDFs and other formats, producing accurate, analysis-ready reports without system upgrades or temporary staff. The solution saved an estimated 2,000–3,500 man-hours, reduced cost and audit risk, and enabled new plans to centralize payroll records and expand HR and financial automation.
