Altair’s Data Science Team implemented Altair Knowledge Studio’s patented decision and strategy trees, ingesting daily data via SFTP and delivering model recommendations that load directly into the bank’s CRM and dialer. Call-center reps focused only on customers the model predicted were likely to respond, while business rules and optimized channel selection reduced costs and improved efficiency. In a 3-month proof of concept the bank collected $5M more on 20% of the portfolio than its prior approach on 80%, recovered 50% of outstanding debt by targeting 22% of delinquent customers, and cut model development time from seven weeks to three.
