Information Optimization Keeps Edwards Air Force Base Mission-Ready

The 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) at Edwards Air Force Base, which provides maintenance and test support for USAF and allied aircraft, struggled to track personnel qualifications and training across seven disparate databases. Staff had to download, print and re-key data from multiple report formats, producing time-consuming snapshots that were unsuitable for long-term trend analysis and decision-making.

By deploying Altair Monarch to extract, normalize and model data from varied formats (PDF, XML, plain text, etc.), the MXG automated reporting and created reusable data models and visualizations. Reports that once took hours now run in about 30 seconds, enabling quick trend analysis over months and years, easier grouping by troop/aircraft/unit, and improved readiness and command-level decision support.
