Fathom Travel, a Carnival Corporation subsidiary that charters the 704-passenger Adonia and was the first cruise line to resume travel to Cuba after 2016, faced a regulatory and operational challenge: roughly 500 customer travel affidavits arrive bi-weekly as third‑party PDFs stored by date, but crew needed a quick, sortable record of who had completed forms. Josh Cogar, Director of Systems and Technology, was manually opening each PDF and re-keying data into Excel—a process that took 10–12 hours and disrupted other responsibilities.

Cogar implemented Monarch Complete with two pre-built Monarch models to automatically extract traveler information from both affidavit versions, then used Monarch’s join and de‑dupe features to merge files into a single, clean spreadsheet.
