The 412th Maintenance Group (MXG) at Edwards Air Force Base provides maintenance and test support for military and contractor aircraft and uses weekly and monthly reports to track personnel qualifications and training. Compiling these reports required monitoring seven disparate databases that didn’t interoperate, forcing staff to download, print, re-key and manually merge records—a slow process that produced only snapshots and made long‑term trend analysis difficult.

By deploying Altair Monarch, the Training Division now extracts, manipulates and summarizes data from many file formats and builds reusable data models and visualizations. Reports that once took countless hours now run in about 30 seconds, enabling rapid identification of overdue training, trend analysis across months and years, and easy grouping by troop, aircraft or unit to support command decisions.
