St. Cloud State University worked with Alpha Video to upgrade its broadcast technology across multiple facilities at once. The university needed to bring three sports venues, two news studios, two control rooms, and related broadcast infrastructure up to HD while also connecting everything with fiber to support its Mass Communications program and provide students with real-world experience.

Alpha Video designed and integrated an HD broadcast solution that included Grass Valley LDX cameras, Dyno Replay Systems, a Karrera Video Production Center, Evertz routers and multiviewers, Wheatstone audio consoles, Chyron CAMIO, Editshare workflow tools, and a Tightrope HD Video Server. The result was a unified, modern production environment capable of supporting live sports, studio production, and four scheduled channels, including a 24x7 sports channel and campus digital signage, giving St. Cloud State a stronger broadcast platform and valuable hands-on training opportunities for students.
