Macalester College, a private liberal arts college in St. Paul, MN, needed to modernize classrooms and meeting spaces from analog to HD video while keeping systems simple, consistent, and easy for faculty to use. The college worked with Alpha Video to plan summer upgrades that could be installed efficiently across campus with minimal disruption.

Alpha Video standardized a classroom package that included HD projectors, screens, Blu-ray players, cabling, speakers, and Extron touchscreen control panels, and it also built a customized neuroscience lab training room with PTZ cameras, streaming/recording capability, and iPad-based control. The result was a faster, campus-wide rollout completed during the summer, with Macalester reporting that the process was efficient and effective and that the neuroscience project was finished by the end of June after starting in early June.
