The City of Edina wanted to upgrade its council chambers and AV control room so City Council meetings and other programming could be broadcast in HD instead of standard definition. Alpha Video helped modernize the city’s presentation, video, and broadcast systems, including equipment for the council chamber, control room, and conference rooms.

Alpha Video replaced the cameras, production switcher, and video distribution equipment, and installed the cabling needed throughout the chambers. The solution included a high-definition recording system, a Crestron control system, five PTZ cameras, a Ross Video Cross-Point Switcher, and upgraded presentation tools in conference rooms. As a result, Edina became one of the first cities in Minnesota able to broadcast all programming in HD, with clearer meetings, presentations, and cablecast output on channels 16 and 813.
