Alpha Anywhere Consultant Scores LA Unified School District Contract with Offline Mobile App

TeamGlobal, an American–Filipino systems integrator serving large enterprises and governments, was invited to replace the Los Angeles Unified School District’s aging mobile platform for elevator maintenance. LAUSD — the nation’s second-largest district, covering 720 square miles and more than 900 schools — needed a secure, enterprise-grade Android solution that worked reliably offline and could scale to hundreds or thousands of mobile workers.

Using Alpha Anywhere, TeamGlobal rapidly prototyped and delivered an offline Android app that downloads daily work plans, scans elevator barcodes, tracks inspection time and completion, then syncs back to the server at day’s end. The prototype won the LAUSD contract, reduced continuous database load and mobile data costs, and provided the scalability and security the district required.
