EAT staffs 750 freelancers across touring catering with Alpaka

EAT, a catering company for the music, entertainment, film, and TV industries, faced significant challenges managing its 750 freelancers. Their entire staffing, compliance, and purchase order process was run manually on a shared Excel file and paper, creating a major administrative burden. They partnered with Alpaka to find a solution to automate these complex workflows.

Alpaka implemented a custom-built solution within its workforce management platform to automate EAT's freelance operations. The solution included features for geographically-based skills matching, an "offer" status for shifts, automated notifications, self-certified compliance, fitness-to-work declarations, and direct integration with SAP for purchase orders. This allowed EAT to replace its manual spreadsheet with a single system, dramatically improving efficiency and accuracy in staffing their international projects.
