TALLY WEiJL's path to meeting Gen Z’s ever-changing expectations

Tally Weijl, the Swiss-born fashion retailer operating 14 Magento-based webshops, faced the challenge of winning over fast-changing Gen Z customers while avoiding a risky, full backend rebuild. To deliver frequent, mobile-first UX updates across multiple countries, currencies and integrated systems (SAP/PLM) the company engaged Alokai to provide a progressive web app (PWA) solution.

Alokai implemented a Vue Storefront PWA front end layered on top of Tally Weijl’s Magento ecosystem, delivering an API‑first, mobile‑first experience that enabled nativelike performance and frequent UX and promotional changes without deep backend modifications. The Alokai solution increased development agility, reduced maintenance overhead compared with native apps, and allowed faster iteration on marketing and CRO efforts—helping Tally Weijl better engage Gen Z shoppers.
