Numerica Credit Union, a $2.3 billion institution in Spokane Valley, Washington, wanted to stay ahead of larger competitors by offering members a new, easier way to access their money. Working with Alogent and its Alogent Digital unified mobile and digital banking platform, Numerica set out to launch an Amazon Alexa voice banking experience with secure access using existing digital banking credentials.
Alogent helped Numerica build a flexible authentication approach and supported the development and testing of the Alexa skill, which took nine months to complete. The result was a fully functioning voice banking capability that lets members check balances, transfer funds, make loan payments, manage cards, view account activity, and more. While adoption is still emerging, Numerica now has a scalable, maintainable solution from Alogent that can support future third-party integrations.
