JSC Federal Credit Union Launches Alogent’s In-House Item Processing System Savings and Service Boosted by Eliminating Third-party Processing Fees

JSC Federal Credit Union, a $1.5 billion institution with 16 branches and 116,000 members, needed to reduce risk and costs after its corporate credit union faced recapitalization pressures. Already using Alogent’s Branch Capture solution, JSC turned to Alogent when it began looking for an alternative to third-party item processing and check clearing services.

Alogent recommended an in-house item processing approach using ImagePoint for cash letter creation, forward presentment, and in-clearings processing, along with Receipt Manager for balancing and research. The change eliminated third-party processing fees, saved JSC more than $10,000 per month, or about $600,000 over 60 months, and required only minimal training and about three additional hours of daily labor while improving workflow and service.
