How a US-based Credit Union Took Control of its Data by Automating Workflows, Reducing Manual Steps

A US-based Credit Union worked with Alogent to address a heavily manual document-processing environment. A combined team of five FTEs was scanning paper documents, origination packets, and forms into a repository by hand, while also entering handwritten information, which slowed processing and made it harder to deliver the anywhere, anytime access promised to members. The credit union needed a more efficient, paperless way to manage information and improve internal adoption and member service.

Alogent implemented FASTdocs, its enterprise content and information management solution for financial institutions, to automate business rules, workflows, and key integrations with the credit union’s core and online/mobile banking systems. The result was a fully automated process that reduced manual steps, lowered costs, decreased errors and delays, and enabled real-time document access; the credit union also automated more than 700 processes daily and reduced the operational burden from five FTEs to one.
