Preview of the University of Texas Case Study

How The University of Texas at El Paso witnessed a 309% increase in alumni membership in 6 months

The University of Texas at El Paso needed a better way to keep alumni connected when traditional in-person engagement programs were disrupted by the pandemic. Its homegrown system was limited, virtual events were new territory, and the team needed a more effective digital engagement approach. Almabase provided an alumni platform integrated with Raiser’s Edge NXT and social sync to help modernize alumni outreach and database management.

With Almabase, UTEP launched targeted email campaigns, social media promotions, membership drives, and virtual events to grow participation. The university also automated database updates so alumni could easily keep their information current, resulting in 100% contactable records and 37% of constituent sign-ups coming via social media. Most importantly, alumni membership increased by 309% in six months, rising from 1,088 in June 2020 to 3,350 in December 2020.
