How Greenwich Academy hosted its Annual Alumnae Reunion virtually for the first time in history

Greenwich Academy, an independent girls’ school in Connecticut with more than 6,000 alumnae worldwide, needed a new way to run its flagship Annual Alumnae Reunion during COVID-19. With in-person events canceled and alumnae engagement dropping because of social distancing, the school turned to Almabase to help replace its traditional reunion experience with a virtual one.

Using Almabase’s alumnae engagement platform, Greenwich Academy created a day-long virtual reunion event page, promoted activities through social media, and added interactive elements like a virtual art show, happy hour, and class Zoom rooms. The result was Greenwich Academy’s first-ever virtual Annual Alumnae Reunion, which generated 148 RSVPs in a week and helped the school keep alumnae connected during a difficult period.
