Germanna Community College partnered with Almabase to launch its first-ever 24-hour Giving Day during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a small advancement team, limited experience running a virtual giving event, and growing student financial aid needs, the college needed a way to engage more than 36,000 constituents and raise funds for scholarships and emergency support.
Almabase helped Germanna Community College build a well-defined digital fundraising strategy, including campaign messaging, email and social media outreach, donor education videos, and peer-to-peer fundraising tools. The campaign raised $503,855 in 24 hours, surpassing its $300,000 goal by 168%, with 329 total gifts and 59.53% of donors influencing their peers to give.
