DMBA Uses Crowdfunding To Fund Their Alumni Engagement Platform

DMBA, the MBA in Design Strategy program at the California College of the Arts, needed an alumni engagement platform but had no budget and faced many technology choices. They chose Almabase (to purchase the Almabase Engagement Cloud) and decided to crowdfund the subscription through the same platform to solve their funding gap.

Using Almabase, DMBA launched a campaign and stood up an alumni hub in under a week; alumni could donate via the responsive platform in under 90 seconds. The campaign raised $4,534 — 105% of the goal — in 21 days, and Almabase now powers DMBA’s up-to-date alumni database and ongoing engagement and communications.
