A Alma CAM Case Study
Visioneering, a Toronto-based manufacturer of LED and fluorescent lighting products and other sheet metal jobs, needed CAM software that could support a highly mixed, low-volume environment across a wide range of machine tools. After a prior CAM vendor shifted focus to its own equipment, Visioneering turned to **Alma CAM** for a machine-independent solution that could handle its punch presses, laser/punch combinations, and automated material handling systems.
**Alma CAM** migrated Visioneering’s tooling library and existing jobs quickly, then helped the company roll out the software across multiple machines. The software improved programming speed, supported dynamic nesting and part unloading, and integrated with CAD and ERP systems to streamline scheduling and inventory replenishment. Visioneering reported clear time savings, with the head programmer freed up to spend more time on the shop floor, and is now planning to expand Alma CAM to the rest of the plant.
