Tube Tech Machinery (TTM Laser), an Italian designer and producer of large-format 3D laser cutting equipment for tubes and sheet metal, needed software that could match the sophistication of its machines and support highly automated, easy-to-use production. The challenge was to manage complex tube, sheet, and 3D cutting workflows while ensuring the software could adapt to different customer requirements and machine configurations.
Alma CAM implemented its act/ CAD/CAM software suite, including act/manager, act/tubes, and act/cut 3d, along with customized interfaces, post-processors, and a resource editor tailored to TTM’s machines. Alma CAM added features such as “light replication” to reduce data volume and calculation times, simulation for cycle-time calculation, and integration with external CAD systems like Tribon. The result was a flexible, highly customized solution that improved programming efficiency, supported complex manufacturing scenarios, and helped TTM Laser deliver innovative machines optimized by software.
