Manni Sipre, the sheet-metal division of Gruppo Manni HP and one of Italy’s leading processors of thick steel sheets, needed a way to efficiently program multiple oxyfuel and plasma-cutting machines while preserving the know-how of its operators and integrating production with its existing management systems. The company worked with Alma CAM and used its act/cut software to manage around ten cutting machines, including one with programmable beveling.

Alma CAM, through its Italian subsidiary Alma Italia, customized act/cut to fit Manni Sipre’s oxycutting requirements, adding special lead-ins, automated drilling sequences, multi-flame cutting macros, nesting, and part marking. The integrated solution with Steel Projects’ WinSTEEL significantly reduced preparation time, improved cutting quality, minimized manual re-entry errors, and delivered material savings, while making it easier to switch programs across machines.
