Keppel FELS, part of Keppel Offshore & Marine and a global leader in offshore rig design, construction, and repair, needed a more efficient way to manage nesting in its engineering processes and improve material usage. To support this challenge, the company used Alma CAM’s act/cut nesting solution alongside Intergraph’s SmartMarine 3D.

Alma CAM implemented act/cut with tight bi-directional integration to SmartMarine 3D, enabling fully automatic, semi-automatic, and manual nesting with full traceability of parts on each sheet. The result was improved material efficiency and productivity for Keppel FELS, with better control over production details and nesting information.
