A Alma CAM Case Study
Tomark s.r.o., a Slovak manufacturer of welded constructions and components, wanted to improve the efficiency of its robot welding operations. After starting with manual work and then a twin-robot setup, the company found that teaching complex parts took too long and limited productivity, so it turned to Alma CAM’s act/weld offline programming software.
Alma CAM implemented a postprocessor that converted act/weld data into the robot’s multitasking language and supported features such as touch sensing, seam tracking, weaving, and calibration of a large installation with five external axes. The solution made programming easier, avoided collisions, shortened programming time, and eliminated production downtime during teaching, helping Tomark increase capacity, efficiency, and competitiveness.
