Groupe Bénéteau - Customer Case Study

Groupe Bénéteau, a global leader in sailboat and motorboat manufacturing, needed to standardize and simplify the programming of wood routing machines across multiple production sites in France and the United States. The company wanted to unify nested-part machining and single-part finishing, reduce manual preparation, transmit CAD data directly, optimize machine usage, and cut material waste. Alma CAM provided the act/cut nesting and programming software, along with the Routing Tools Allocator module.

With Alma CAM’s act/cut, Groupe Bénéteau automated programming for a wide variety of routing processes and machine brands, including direct assignment of machining operations from 3D CAD parts. The solution reduced manual intervention and preparation time, improved machine and resource allocation, increased programmer versatility, and streamlined production across remote sites. It also helped improve nesting efficiency across roughly 200,000 wood panels cut each year, supporting better material yield and more flexible on-demand production.
